When I noticed that, I decided that it was a proof of Windows10 properly detecting refresh rate even if display is detected as generic monitor. This is what drove me to initially use DisplayPort. I wanted to make full use of the 144Hz functionality on the monitors, and to do so I would have to use either DisplayPort or DVI-D.
